  1. Join SkyMiles for free. 
  2. Shop for Award Travel on the Delta website or in the Fly Delta app.
  3. Choose “Shop with Miles” when searching for flights for your itinerary.
  4. When you get to check out, you will see the miles savings automatically applied for the flight.

If you want to apply for any Delta-branded American Express cards to take advantage of this offer, you must be approved before paying for your flight. You can then use your new card to pay applicable taxes and fees. 

It's worth noting that at this time, the Delta SkyMiles® Blue American Express Card does not qualify for the TakeOff 15 offer.

Example Redemption

To give you an idea of how much this deal could save you, imagine you're booking a flight that costs 20,000 miles plus tax. By using your award, you can take 3,000 miles off the total price of the flight, bringing the final price down to 17,000 miles plus tax.

Based on our monthly points and miles valuation, Delta Skymiles are currently worth 1.2 cents per point. By this calculation, you'd be saving around $36 in the above example, though your actual savings depends on the total price of your selected flight.
