If you carry a Prime Visa, check your inbox. Chase is offering select cardholders a limited-time bonus that turns everyday spending into serious cash back through the end of September. Here's what we know about the offer and how to activate it.

Chase Amazon Prime Visa Offer: 9% Back on Grocery Stores, Gas Stations and Restaurants

Select Chase Amazon Prime Visa cardholders can activate 9% back at grocery stores, gas stations and restaurants from July 1 through September 30, valid on up to $1,000 in combined purchases. Activation happens at chase.com/mybonus, and the deal has earned a +21 deal score from the Slickdeals community.

A few things to note before you swipe. The 9% rate includes your card's regular rewards rather than stacking on top of them, and purchases at Amazon.com and physical Whole Foods Market stores don't count toward the offer. It's also targeted, so your mileage may vary. One commenter reported that on one of their Prime Visa cards the offer was just 5% instead of 9%. Still, another commenter called 9% a great cash back number, noting they had just completed a 5% offer that ended in June.
