Earning elite status with an airline can take a lot of effort to fly the required number of miles. However, once you earn one status, it can be easier to earn subsequent statuses through status matching.

For example, Alaska Airlines currently has a status match challenge, where if you can verify your earned frequent flyer status with another airline, you’ll get the equivalent Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan™ status for 90 days. It is a great opportunity if you have upcoming Alaska Airlines flights already planned, as it can help accelerate your path towards earning status with Alaska Airlines and keeping the status for longer than the 90-day promotional period.

Apply here to take part in the Alaska Airlines status match challenge

You will need to upload a screenshot of your elite status with another airline. The other airline’s status must be earned — that is, complimentary status or status earned through a similar status match promotion with another airline does not qualify, and you may only apply once.
