Southwest Airlines recently announced that flight credits for flights canceled by the buyer will no longer expire. The “one-of-kind” new policy means there is no worry or rush to use credits in your Southwest account anymore and applies to flights canceled as late as ten minutes before the flight departure.

The new policy is unique among major airlines and offers added value to Southwest’s faithful customer base since they will be able to cancel flights and use any credits with no worry of expiration. The new benefit also applies to any credits currently not expired in the flyer’s account and future credits after July 28.
