Amazon Prime Day has arrived, and if you have a credit card issued by Discover, Chase, American Express or our partner Citi®, you may be able to save some cash while shopping Prime Day deals thanks to these six popular promotions.

While none of these offers are as straightforward as earning a gift card by signing up for a new Amazon credit card, the plus side is they aren't tied to being a new cardholder; if you have an eligible card, you can access these savings opportunities.

Chase 50% Off Promotion

Through July 13, Chase is offering Amazon customers a 50% discount when they use at least one Chase Ultimate Rewards point to pay for their purchase (maximum discount $15).

To cash in on this offer, you must first link your Chase Ultimate Rewards account to your Amazon account. From there, activate the offer via the link above, add items to your cart and proceed to checkout. Once there, select your Chase Rewards card to use as payment, as well as the amount of Ultimate Rewards points you'd like to use.

As previously mentioned, you only need to use one point to get this offer. Since Ultimate Rewards points carry a lot of value (as of July, we estimate each point is worth 2.3 cents) using them for Amazon purchases isn't the best way to maximize your return. For that reason, we advise against using more than the minimum amount of points required to access this offer.

It's also worth noting that this offer has a maximum of 80,000 uses, so you'd better act fast if you want to ensure you can access it.

Citi Card $15 Off Promotion

If you're an Amazon customer with an eligible Citi® Card, you can potentially get $15 off when you add your Citi Card to your Amazon Wallet.

To access the savings:

  1. Navigate to the promo page via the link above
  2. Add an eligible Citi Card to your Amazon wallet.
  3. Add a total of $15.01 worth of eligible products to your Amazon card
  4. Apply promo code CITICARD15 at checkout
  5. Complete your checkout using your newly added Citi card to pay
  6. $15 Off will be reflected on the final order page if the item in your cart are eligible for this promotion

This is a limited-time promotion that ends at 5 p.m. PT on July 13, 2023, or when 26,666 customers have redeemed this offer. Offer is only available to use once per Amazon account. Products sold by third-party sellers, including those fulfilled by Amazon or Prime Eligible, are not qualified for this offer. This offer is not available to anyone who removed and re-added their card after June 20, 2023.

Discover® Rewards 30% Off Promotion

Amazon package delivery

Amazon

Amazon is currently offering customers with Discover® Rewards 30% off eligible Amazon purchases ($30 maximum discount). Select accounts can also get $10 Off $75+ eligible Amazon purchases when paying with Discover Rewards.

If you're a Discover cardholder, you must log in to your Amazon account with Discover Rewards to see if you're eligible, and the promotion must be activated and applied at checkout. This promotion will end at either 5:00 pm PT on July 13, 2023 or when offers worth $110,000 have been redeemed. There's no minimum when paying with Discover Rewards, and a $1 Cashback Bonus® or 100 Miles equals $1 to redeem at Amazon.com checkout.

Slickdeals user u/MrSkeptic has noted that this offer seems to be extremely targeted and most customers will not be eligible. Amazon customers who are not currently eligible should still check the promotion page periodically to see if they qualify in the future.

Not all purchases on Amazon.com can be paid with Rewards points at checkout. Items that currently may not be purchased using Rewards include some digital goods, Kindle downloads, Subscribe and Save items or AmazonFresh.

Discover $20 off $20.01 Promotion

While not quite as valuable as the above offer, select Amazon accounts can also get $20 off their purchase of $20.01 or more when they add their Discover card as a payment method, then apply the promo code 23DISCOVERPD at checkout.

Like the other Discover offer, this promotion is targeted – meaning not all Amazon accounts qualify – and will run until July 13, 2023, or until offers worth $500,000 have been redeemed. It's also only available to customers who did not have a Discover card saved to their Amazon account as of June 20, 2023; even if you remove and re-add your card, you won't qualify. For this reason, Slickdeals user u/Narsis84 recommends, "Always delete your Discover card after using this promo if you want a shot at the next one."

American Express Rewards Up to 40% Off Promotion

Amazon is offering select customers with American Express Membership Rewards® 40% off their purchase with a maximum discount of $60. Customers must use at least 1 Membership Rewards Point towards their purchase.

In order to redeem this offer, customers must log into their account to see if they are eligible, click the offer, and link their American Express Membership Rewards account to their Amazon account. After eligible products sold and shipped by Amazon are added to the cart, the promotion can be redeemed for a total discount of up to $60.

At checkout, select the American Express Rewards Card as the payment method, and select the amount of points you would like to use for the purchase (customers must select at least 1 Membership Rewards point to use Shop with Points on Amazon.com). The promotion should be automatically applied to the purchase if you qualify and have completed all required steps. This promotion ends on July 13, 2023, or until 31,024 customers have redeemed this offer.

Many Slickdeals forum users have pointed out that they only received 15% off with this promotion, and Slickdeals user u/Canuck25 claims you must use at least 714 points for your purchase to get the full discount.

American Express 15% Off Promotion

Select Amazon accounts can take $15 off a purchase of $15.01 or more by adding an eligible American Express card to their Amazon wallet and using promo code AMEXCARD15 at checkout.

This offer is also running until 5:00 p.m. PST on July 13, 2023, or until 53,333 customers have redeemed it. If you removed and re-added your American Express card after June 20, 2023, you will not be eligible for this promotion. Additionally, you can only use this offer on physical products shipped and sold by Amazon, so third-party sellers do not qualify.

American Express Discounts with Membership Rewards Points

If you didn't qualify for the last offer, don't fret! You may still be able to take 15% (or more) off your next order with American Express.

Amazon customers with American Express Membership Rewards® get 15% off an eligible purchase (maximum discount of $15) when using at least 714 membership rewards points. Amazon customers must click and activate the offer to see if their account is eligible.

If you're an American Express cardholder, you must click on 'Activate now' on the offer page to link your American Express Membership Rewards account to your Amazon account. After that, add eligible products sold and shipped by Amazon.com to your shopping cart (this promotion can be redeemed in one or more transactions for a total discount of up to $15). Select your American Express Rewards Card as your payment method and the amount of Membership Rewards points you would like to use for the purchase (must use at least 714 Membership Rewards points). This promotion ends at either 5:00 pm PT on July 13, 2023 or when 21,477 customers have redeemed the offer.

Slickdeals user u/slickster112 commented that they were eligible for 50% off $80, so check to see if you are eligible for a larger discount.
